Crystal is by far our smallest hen at only 9.5oz and will be part of our white program. She does lay fertile eggs and is a good layer about one a day. We do not have her paired up just yet as she is with a Rooster we will be sending to a friend in North Carolina in a couple months and I want to get some babies out of him before he goes. She is a quiet hen and has done well at shows I have taken her to so far. Placing Reserve Champion in cage (against about 25 other Seramas) and Champion Smooth Hen on TT with an 86. Watch for her at the shows we will be going to, she is definitely one of the easiest hens I have to show.

Blizzard … Perhaps one of my favorite birds right now … Great upright stance, Great wing set, Great tail for a frizzle, and awesome curl in the feathers, good yellow legs, red lobes … I cannot wait to get him to show! Weighing in at 16oz he is well within range for the Serama. Put him on a table and watch out… he dances, talks, flaps, crows, the whole 9 yards … quite the personality for such a tiny little bird. New to us though, he came from someone we know as well as Flurry and 2 other birds (Freya and Avalanche), cannot wait for his first show with us.

Pixie comes to us
from one of the few minor friends that I have.
Living in North Carolina she has adjusted quite well to the temperature
differences that we have here in Oregon.
Also helps that they are kept in an insulated area that has heat and a/c
should the temps get too extreme in either direction. Paired up right now with Blizzard, our
gorgeous white frizzle cock, I cannot wait to see what these two produce. Not as outgoing as her counterpart, but she
is every bit what we needed our stock.
Weighing 12 oz she is just the right size and has never had problems
laying before. Sweet enough of a
personality you will get a sugar high just being around her, she loves to sit
on your arm and eat goodies as long as you will feed her. Watch out though if there is more and you
won’t give it to her, she will try to get it by herself.

Britches is probably one of the most unique colored Seramas that we own. She is a Chocolate Blue Mottled, and likely carries the pumpkin gene hidden in there somewhere. She is a remarkable little hen and has done well at her last two shows, taking 84 and 81 on TT and going back for T2 and placing Reserve Champion Pullet both times. Weighing only 11oz she has a personality that is 10 times that size. Always in a hurry and getting her "britches in a wad" is how she named her name "Britches." She is the first pen I feed morning and night or I have to listen to her yell at me until I get to her ... for everyone's sanity we just start with her.

Max is a very nice rooster any way you look at him. He comes to us from California's Max Hibi, one of a few great people and breeders that I know. Only just a small bit of white in his earlobes being just about the only "fault" I can give him. Very nice type, great wing carriage and an attitude that goes far beyond his tiny size. Not very fond of being held, but will dance around and talk to you all day long when you put him on a table. He is definitely a great bird for TT as he "performs" quite well ... we are currently using him over two Black and White hens until we can get a good one to replace him for our Exchequer pair. Weighing in at only 14oz he is one of the smaller roosters that I have although you would never know by his personality. Very good with his hens and I have, on several occasions, caught him sleeping with his hens in the nest box when they are on eggs. We got a 79 on his first run on Table Top, and an 83 on his second taking Reserve Champion Cockerel.

Delilah comes from quite possibly one of THE best Serama breeders that I know. She has come from several generations of Black/White birds and I am hopeful we can get a good Rooster to go with her and Laurana soon. Weighing 15 oz, she is a bit larger than the two she is with now, but should still give us great babies as she falls well within the weight limits for Serama hens. Just over a year old it will be her first breeding season with us here and I cannot wait to see what we get out of her and Max. A sweet disposition and all around great hen to work with she does not care what you do to her as long as she gets a treat afterwards all is good.

Laurana came to us with Scorch and Tinder from Laureen. She is just now laying and will be her first season with us as well. She has a great personality and great type at this age, she weighs 12.4oz and I am sure she will gain a little bit more as she fills in and matures. Quite the little "drama" queen she has to tell the WHOLE world that she's got an egg ... probably one of the loudest I have as well during those "special moments." When she's not announcing to the world she has a very quiet disposition and is a great little pullet to work with. We have not had the chance to take her to any shows as of yet, and are hopeful we can get to a few in the 2014 show season. It will be interesting to see what we get out of this little girl having several generations of black/white breeding in her background as well I am hoping the little bit of Red in Max's hackle feathers does not come out in the next generation.

Lee is one of my favorite hens. While she has white in the lobes, she does pull herself together quite well when on the practice table. She hatched November 21, 2012, the day my mother passed away, and also how she got her name. Lee is my mothers' middle name. She will be with us forever no matter what she does or does not do. Weighing in at 12oz she's a small little girl, I do not quite know what her color would be considered but I will get a better photo soon of her to put on here. Currently paired up with Taevas and Bailey, they are a cute little trio.
Taevas is Estonian, meaning Heaven or Sky. He was a gift to my mother after she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. The person who sent him up to her, is quite possibly one of the most selfless individuals that I know. Always putting others first and doing whatever he can to help and make sure that the "right" things get done when they are needed. We got him in early 2012 so he is just now about 2 and a half years old. He is a great rooster, and a kick in the pants on the table, crowing, flapping and dancing around like a little goof. He weighs 15oz and holds that weight pretty steadily. Good yellow legs, red lobes and a good size comb. His type is great, and he normally carry's his wings more vertical but he was not going to have it today when I was doing our photo shoot. Apparently he was upset with me for taking him away from his girls at the time. We have taken him to a few shows and he has done well, mid to high 70's so far. All in all this is a great little rooster, allowing himself to be held by just about anyone, he loves children and is really good with them.

Bailey is a cute little frizzled pullet, and as soft as you can possibly imagine. She is named after her mother who we no longer have and was a white Tri-color hen. Weighing only 10.4oz she is a tiny little girl and I do not believe she will get much larger. A bit of white on her lobes, but good yellow legs and a nice comb she'll do well paired up with Taevas. At 9 months old, she still has a bit of maturing to do but I do not believe she will put on much more weight.

Johnny comes from the same breeder as Vortex does, Chaili Baldwin in California. She's one of the few people I know who is working on the Colombian color as you see here on this Rooster. Johnny is the first Serama I've ever had shipped to me and was probably the most nerve wracking experience that I have ever dealt with. Nothing happened mind you, but I was a ball of nerves as it was my first time ever. Good yellow legs, red lobes and a great comb, this guy has it all and then some. Great type, great personality he is such a great rooster to deal with he is so laid back doesn't care about much. He's my traveling buddy whenever we go anywhere that I can take him in, he rides around with me on the passenger seat often falling asleep on his towel. We have had quite a few babies out of him but currently do not have a hen paired up with him. We are searching for a Colombian colored hen to pair up or possibly two depending on what we can find and prices of the birds.

Chaos is my little wild child surprise from a young man I have the privilege of knowing and helping in the world of Seramas. This is one of the little boys he hatched and raised up, he included him in a box with a pullet that he was sending me, I am so VERY excited to get some of my "grand-chicks" back. It is always a pleasure helping new people get into this hobby at any age... Chaos is just now 5 months old so he has some growing out left to do still he weighs 9oz currently. His "room-mate" at this time is Mystic, another one of my "grand-chicks" and out of one of the Roosters that I lost shortly after sending out his daughter. I am hopeful that we can use chaos to further our white project and pair him up with some babies that are coming out of the incubator as we speak. Time will tell what he will mature out to be and I can't wait. I do though wish that I had a remote with a "fast forward" button to get them to a year old.

Inola (Cherokee meaning Black Fox) is a gift from one of our friends down in California (West Slope Seramas). I've met Ray only once at the Spring Swap & Serama Spectacular last year, and he is one of the nicest guys I've met in a long time. Very knowledgeable about his birds and what he raises. Inola was hatched October 1 2013 and is right now 6 months old, she should start laying for us at any point. I am debating on who to pair her up with and it is down to two of my Cocks, Max or Magi. Both pairings offer up unique differences but I am leaning towards Max at this point to get some solid blacks out of the two. I do not have a current weight on her as my scale is not in my possession right now, but will have it back soon. I cannot wait to see what she will produce though, she's got a great type to her and is quite the little show off when another hen is around.
